Ok Friends
So sorry I have been off the radar for a little while. My daughter Abiella is finally home with us! Praise God. We have been taking some time as a new family of three to spend some much needed time together. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers for our family. We are so grateful that she is finally here! As I have said before, words fail when trying to describe this journey and this joy so I will not attempt it.
On to the music news…
New Record “Midland” Is Finished
The new record is finished! It is currently being printed up and I am eagerly waiting to hold the first one hot off the press. The name of the album is called “Midland” which is also a song on the record. I am so excited for all of you to hear it! I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. It continues to amaze me how records truly create themselves in real time as you are recording them, you do all this planning and thinking but then the magic really happens when you hit record and everyone starts to play. A huge majority of this record is recorded live, as in the whole band, including myself, playing at the same time. As I listen back I can really hear the result of that decision. It’s vibey and raw. It’s real. I love it! To me it has a real vintage sound while at the same time a truly fresh approach. There are 11 brand new songs/recordings. I will have a track listing soon. There are a few very special guest appearances including Wade Bowen and Lori McKenna (thank you friends).
I WILL have the new record on the November run. Itunes and other online release dates will be announced soon. Physical copies will also be available through CDBaby and Lone Star Music. Those release dates will be coming soon.

The November Acoustic Texas Tour
All the shows are lined up for the November run. The last acoustic tour went so well that I really wanted to repeat the same treatment for this record release tour. You can expect a bunch of new tunes off of the new record as well as the usual suspects. Check the “Tour” page for all shows and details.

Just saw the show last night in Austin, and as every time I’ve seen you, it was amazing! I especially loved the acoustic format with the piano accompaniment.
We missed you and were so glad to have you back in Texas. I also picked up your new CD and plan to continue to spread the word to all of my friends and family. You are an unbelievable talent!! Again, thank you for coming to Austin… we love you!!
